Isabela is a specialist in economic decarbonization, with a broad range of experience encompassing sectors from energy to high-emission industries
Her focus is on the new frontiers of renewable energies, such as next-generation biofuels (Green Diesel, SAF, Biomethane), sustainable technologies, carbon capture and storage (CCS), and projects involving hydrogen. Furthermore, Isabela has distinguished herself in the development of the regulated and voluntary carbon markets in Brazil, contributing significantly to the establishment of the regulatory framework in the country. She is also a co-founder and current Executive Director of the CCS Brazil Association, where she is dedicated to promoting and implementing carbon capture and storage projects

Isabela has extensive experience in preparing strategic legal analyses focused on the implementation of energy transition and decarbonization projects. Her work encompasses regulatory compliance and risk management within both voluntary and regulated carbon markets. She offers legal support to enable projects for geological carbon capture and storage, as well as low-emission fuels, with a focus on initiatives related to Green Diesel, SAF (Sustainable Agricultural Systems), Biomethane, and Hydrogen
Over the past 10 years, Isabela has played an active role in shaping Brazilian policies and regulation, aiming to create an environment conducive to accelerating the energy transition. Currently, a significant part of her practice is dedicated to strategic government relations, focusing on strengthening decarbonization policies, especially in the context of the energy transition and Carbon Markets
