Enrico works in commercial, infrastructure and corporate disputes, combining technical rigor with a practical understanding of regulated sectors to support clients in complex disputes in Brazil and abroad
His practice is dedicated to arbitration and litigation involving energy, infrastructure, oil and gas, construction and business contracts, with an emphasis on matters concerning economic and financial rebalancing, force majeure, breach of contract, representations and warranties, indemnification and earn-out mechanisms, as well as administrative and pre-litigation proceedings
Experience
Enrico advises clients on the strategic management of domestic and international arbitration proceedings before institutions such as the ICC, CAM-CCBC, and CBMA, as well as court proceedings related to pre-arbitration measures, enforcement of arbitral awards, and defense against actions to set aside arbitral awards before the state courts
His practice covers all stages of arbitration proceedings, from initial risk analysis and strategy development to document coordination, evidence management, interaction with experts, preparation of submissions, and participation in hearings. In the post-award phase, he advises clients on measures for the recognition, enforcement, and implementation of arbitral awards, as well as on defending against attempts to set aside arbitral awards, thereby helping to preserve the effectiveness of arbitration and the results obtained
Enrico also has experience in court litigation, representing clients in commercial and business disputes before all court levels
Among his notable cases, Enrico represented foreign business groups in ICC arbitrations involving the construction of floating oil production and storage platforms, in which claims for extension of time and economic and financial rebalancing arising from force majeure events were addressed. He also acted in an ICC dispute related to a contract for the purchase and sale of interests in oil and gas exploration assets, involving discussions on representations and warranties and indemnification. His experience also includes arbitrations regarding earn-out mechanisms in power generation assets and arbitrations conducted entirely in English
